Senior Minister--Tualatin Hills Christian Church (Tualatin, OR)

Job Description:

Tualatin Hills Christian Church, located in Tualatin, Oregon, is seeking a Senior Pastor for its congregation to advocate and communicate God's vision of the church and outreach programs. This person will be the primary leader, teacher, and visionary and will have responsibility for the spiritual welfare, growth, and life of the church.

The pastor will work to ensure the health and stability of the church and provide organizational direction and administrative oversight to the church while working with the board, staff, and ministry leaders. The pastor will act as a spiritual shepherd to the people through various ministries of the church, including a thriving Essentials Closet with the organization, Love Inc., that is a vital part of our community.

About Tualatin Hills Christian Church:

Tualatin Hills Christian Church is a non-denominational that is affiliated with the Christian Churches/Churches of Christ and has been a part of the Tualatin community for about 48 years. The church sits on a corner lot at the crossroads of SW Boones Ferry Rd and SW Norwood Rd. The sanctuary will seat approximately 150 people. The church is a two-story building with the sanctuary downstairs with a bathroom, storage room and small library. The upstairs consist of two classrooms, two office areas that are also used for adult education, a nursery and two restrooms. There are currently 40 members. Our main community outreach ministry is with an organization called Love Inc and we host an essential pantry. The church maintains its own website at https://www.tualatinhills.org/about.html

Job Qualifications:

It is expected that this person will exhibit the gifts of faith, leadership, exhortation, teaching, shepherding, and discernment. Above all else, the pastor is a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and is His representative to the Church and to the world. It is expected that this person will exhibit a mature and outgoing faith in Jesus Christ and is an effective preacher who has a mastery of the Word of God.

* Senior pastoral experience preferred with a record of successfully being used by God to grow a church or ministry.

* Walks in the Gifts of the Spirit and allows for the movement of the Holy Spirit in all areas of life and ministry.

* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, social media, and collaboration software (i.e. Dropbox, Google, and ProPresenter) are desired.
