Monroe is a small, rural community with nearby access to urban, full-service cities. We have a sweet, small-town flavor, yet we're just a half-hour from both Corvallis and Eugene. Our town has started to grow with new housing, along with new businesses, so the outreach potential is significant!
Our church family is small, and - like many churches - not everyone is actively attending because of the ongoing pandemic. We're mostly (but not exclusively) in the second-half of life, so we're older...but not "old". We're friendly, faithful, and pretty energetic. We’ve worked hard to maintain our facility and keep it attractive. We’ve invested a bit in technology, so we have a decent audio/sound/media system in our worship center. We have a nursery, classrooms for kids through adults, and a fellowship hall; lots of space to be used. We're ready for you to come and help fill it up!
Our worship service is pretty traditional, but we’d love to have you start a contemporary service that could attract new people.
We're looking for a full-time pastor who will:
Preach biblically-based sermons in a relevant way.
Care for our current congregation.
Place a high priority on making community connections...and those opportunities abound in our local schools, local community organizations, and local government. We want you to make friends, earn trust, and find ways to draw people toward Jesus and His church. Preferred Background:
Bible college graduate
At least 5 years of pastoral experience
Ability to reach new people & start new ministries
